Hi friends,tomorrow Olympic Beijing 2008 will start officially.I hope we will not lose our focus during the Olympic running.I hope also we will enjoy it because it is a biggest worldwide sport ceremony this year.About its promotion it is very outstanding because everyday it will come out on television.
In blogging activities,promotion or advertising is the most important element that can help us increasing our blogging income.Promotion is compulsory for any people who involve in blogging like us.Blogging is not just writing article and publish.It is more than that.
Its scope is too wide.One of the thing that we need to think is about advertising or promotion.The purpose of promotion is to tell people that we have a blog in internet.Without promotion many people will not know we have a useful blog.Most of our blogging successful reason is promotion.Remember it.
First promotion is very important because it will tell people that our blog is exist.In internet,not only few people involve in blogging activities like us.Its number is very big.Therefore to make people know about our blog more than them,the only way is advertising and advertising.
There are 2 types of promotion that can we do.First is online advertising and second is offline advertising.Off line advertising is important as online advertising.The purpose is same with online advertising that is to tell people about our blog.We should not ignore this promotion method.
Offline promotion is promotion other than internet.The target market of this type of advertising is also same as we do online promotion.The different is the way we promote it.On online promotion we use material such as banner,affiliate link,article to promote our blog in other blog.
The cost of online advertising is different with cost doing off line advertising.In online advertising the cost is more cheaper than off line advertising.That is the biggest advantage of doing online advertising.This cheap cost will is one reason why many people want to involve in online business including blogging.
However in off line promotion the approach that we use is quite different with online promotion but again I repeat the purpose is same.In off line advertising the medium that can we use is television,radio,newspaper,phamplet,banner and other.All of this will have big impact on our number people visiting our blog.
The cost of this offline advertising is very high compare with you doing online advertising.The most higher cost of advertising is advertising through television.It is very expensive.As blogger like us,it is not suitable to choose television as advertising medium because the cost is very high.We will not able to pay the cost unless we are big online company like Ebay or Amazon.com.
This is one of the weaknesses of off line advertising.So that to advertising through other off line medium such as newspaper and radio.It also expensive.Actually the cost is normal to them.This is because most of the group that choose those advertising method is big company which have big profit every month and year.To them the cost is small.
However the advantage of this kind of promotion is fantastic.This is because those medium have bigger audience that can increase number of our visitors drastically.However if we are not afford to advertsise through medium,don’t worry because there still many other alternative can we use.
Other alternative that can we use in promoting our blog is promotion using business card.This type of promotion is one to one promotion.The card can be given to our friends,relatives,officemate and others.Actually we are not necessary give it to the people that we know only,we also can give it to people that first time we met.
Beside that we can also can use our phone sms to promote our blog.Firstly we can sms our friends and ask them to forward message to other people.In the message we will tell them about our blog briefly and don’t forgot to write our blog address on it so that they can visit our blog.Do it oftenly like at end of every month to avoid they forgot our blog.
Beside that we can also use other promotion method such as banner and pamphlet.By using pamphlet we can increase the alertness that our blog is exist.This can be done by printing many pamphlet and then distribute it to people.We can ask other people to distribute it and we pay them commission.
As conclusion not all off line advertising cost is high.The cost of business card,sms and pamphlet is very cheap therefore it is encouraged us to use all of them as medium to promote our blog.Even the number of audience is small and we cannot get the short term benefit from it,but it is a long term strategy that can be beneficial in the future.

That’s true.. Look at like KFC,McD, and other more company.
They make sell’s by ads. their company to tv radio and others place. So, with that many people know about the product we produce and what our company can give to people.
For me ads was the step to get others know about us..
Even bread too, radio is quite effective way. Most people listen to radio even at their office.
But, besides advertisement solution, there are other ways for people to get to know us without paying any advertisement fees.
That was and always called as search engine optimization (SEO).
I prefer practicing SEO rather than buying ads. Because I don’t have (yet) budget for advertising.
But for free advertising solution like Entrecard system. I like it so much!

I think email is one good way to promote our blog. If one have enough budget they can use auto responders and create mailing list. Its one way of adevertising. What mr amirul doing here also good. He is promoting the top commentator contest is surely good news to anyone who likes contest. Thats why im here
Auto responder?
There are “open source” auto responder such as infinite autoresponder.
Even there’s a wordpress plugin auto responder…
I’ve come accros it.
Auto responders is a marketing must have tools as people/blogger trying to collect as many mailing list as possible. mailing list = money.
But, honestly I don’t use auto responder, just not yet.
Why?
I hate an email trying to sale me something.
But, some seller just know how to approach. It makes me want to buy. One example is JWA.
JWA is the adsense guy rite? he is good and humble and he got the real way to earn in adsense.
havent used entrecard before but seems a good way to advertise and making more traffic to our blogs.
2sherry : did u get huge traffic from entrecard? around how many visitor per day if u dont mind to share?

I don’t know how to check my Entrecard traffic, but there’s no single day without ads on my widget.
yes… the important thing is promotion and promotion everyday. if you use name card you can give it to your friends and your friends can tell others friends about what is your bussines about and you can get costumer from offline promotion.
